In order to make good on my New Year's resolution to update my domain layout more often, ohmydarling.org has received a facelift. (Sorry, no button this time - I'm feeling lazy. :|) I'm continuing my trend of using real live people, and this time it is Zooey Deschanel. ♥ Not only my third real person, but my third real female person. First I had an actress, then a singer, and now an actress-singer! Haha. I didn't plan it, honest. Anyway, I was going for a summery look because I plan to have the layout up for all of June and July, with the hope that I can make a new layout for the domain's fifth birthday on August 2nd.

Please let me know if you find anything amiss with the layout/coding/etc. Not much else has been updated, except for the addition of a couple lovely new link exchanges and some minor adjustments of the sites page. That's all for now, enjoy!

Lots of stuff to report! Mainly, I have two new websites to unveil, yay. :D

Dynamic Family is my newest fansite, and it is dedicated to The Incredibles. It was made for the General Series Fansite Marathon at [info]amassment. (I apologize for not waiting for the reveal, [info]newtype, but on the bright side, not many people will see this!) It was previously titled Save the Day and has been acting as just the fanlisting for The Incredibles since 2005 (also I recently moved it from urban-fated.net to my own domain). So, I'm quite glad I was able to do a fanlisting to fansite expansion. :) It still needs a lot of work, though. I have to finish up one more page under "characters", do the relationships sections/pages, add more to the "movie" section (including essay/article-type pieces), and find more to add in the way of media. Still, it's good to finally have enough content to call it a fansite after all these years.

Then there's A Knight's Tale, which is the approved fanlisting for Fakir, of Princess Tutu. I didn't think I'd be applying for any more FLs, but I couldn't not apply for him. He is and always will be one of my very favorite anime characters, so it's exciting to be able to run his FL. <3

ohmydarling.org has been updated with the link and description for Dynamic Family. Likewise, Count the Ways has been updated with the link to A Knight's Tale. Also at the domain, I tweaked the layout a bit so the image and navigation are now fixed. I like it this way a lot better.

As for what's next, I now want to focus on improving my existing websites. That does include the newly opened Dynamic Family, as well as my older tributes. And I still plan on getting Marty's tribute up this year, but it will likely be later in 2012.

Wow, that was long! Until next time. :)

Happy New Year! I hope everyone's 2012 is going well so far. :) I'm pleased to announce that OMD has a new look:

Version 8 features another real person - this time it's Florence Welch! I had planned to upload this new layout two days ago, but then I realized that yesterday, Monday, was Mariska Hargitay's birthday. So I couldn't take my Mariska layout down the day before/the day of her birthday when it had been up for so long. Since I tend to be so lazy about changing my layouts, it was killer having to wait a couple days to put this up, haha.

Last week I put Cool Dad on indefinite hiatus. I've never been happy with the site. It's very poorly written and terribly small, even for a one-pager. It's my orca site all over again. :/ Like I said, it's indefinite, so I really don't know what the site's future is right now. Let me just say it's not a top priority.

Moving on, I do have website resolutions for this year. I will direct you to my site resolution thread over at [info]amassment, which is here. I'll list them here on this journal later, so I can edit them as needed.

That's all for now! Hope you enjoy OMD's new look. <3 In a week or so I will be posting again with a new fansite that I'm working on for [info]amassment's General Series Fansite Marathon. I'm really excited to reveal it (and see all the other results)! :)

Photosynthesis has a new layout! I am very pleased with how it came out, and I hope you are, too. :) I know this has been a long time coming, and the final push was when I saw it had been nominated at the 2011 Fansite Pageant. The layout was actually finished over a month ago, but I wanted to add some new content to the site before uploading anything. However, some real life stuff has been getting in the way and I just haven't been able to add the new stuff I want to, so I finally decided to quit putting it off and just upload it with the new layout. However, I did manage to do the following:
  • Add a favicon
  • Change icons from .JPG to .PNG
  • Edit/re-write some content
  • Add a reason [for making the site]
As for the new stuff I wanted to add, I hope I can do that soon (aka before the year is over).

In other site news: I updated Count the Ways a while back - removed the link to the Keane fanlisting (which I closed), added a small wishlist, and got rid of all the text I had on there save for a few useful links. So it's quite a bit simpler now.

That's it for now! I want to do at least one more big thing before 2012 gets here, I just don't know what yet. :x Until then~

Just a quick little update to note that I have closed two fanlistings: Chrno Crusade and Yoshida Chizuru (Kimi ni Todoke). The URL for the CC fanlisting is still online, as I have kept the members list to make it available to the new owner. Ramen & Miniskirts has gone back to being "just" a tribute, but I'm more than okay with that.

In addition, I am in the process of adopting out the Mushu (Mulan) fanlisting.

Count the Ways has been updated accordingly.
